Winter Wedding

I love Winter weddings. Since we don't have much of a Winter here in Arizona, it's my chance to make believe and include snowy white blooms and Winter flowers such as amaryllis.

The bride's color scheme, varying shades of white, ivory, and cream, gave me the chance to play with snow, regardless of the weather. :)

My favorite features were the bouquets and the cool, zero gravity garland which lined her aisle.

Bright Fall Wedding

Date: November 29th, 2008
Venue: The Renaissance Hotel in Glendale

This was a really big wedding for me and I loved the way it turned out. There was however one little challenge; the carpet.

The Reinassance Hotel in Glendale is a gorgeous, glitzy hotel near Cardinal's stadium. It has gorgeous modern touches throughout. The carpet, however is very colorful. You can see the carpet in one of the pictures below. The bride wanted fall colors but didn't want to clash against that carpet. We used every color we could from the rug and we got a rich, colorful fall palette which accentuated and blended with the decor.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was a busy one for me.

I had two large weddings on the opposite ends of town but we got it done and I wanted to showcase the cute, fall centerpieces we used to decorate the downtown Phoenix Radisson.

We carved the miniature pumpkins into tealights and used a grapevine wreath accented by red oak leaves and miniature roses for color and something bold for the center of the table.

Wedding Date: November 22, 2008

Location: Corona Ranch

I waited all year for Kirstin and Micah's wedding. The couple wanted something fun, different and flowers to tie into their peacock color scheme and theme.

I think the flowers turned out awesome (if I do say so myself :) ) and the pictures don't do them justice!

We used green roses, hydrangea, blue delphinium and green hyperiecum berries for the bouquets. The centerpieces ranged in height and mixed green carnations, green hyrangea and blue Veronica. The tall centerpieces were topped with manzanita branches and trailing flowers.

Wedding Date: November 8, 2008

The bride wanted to showcase her Irish heritgage with flowers matching the Irish flag: green, white and orange.

We accomplished this green roses, orange freesia, orange gerbera daisies, green Yoko Ono mums, white bouvardia, and of course Bells of Ireland as tall greenery!

I love tying special touches into my design, be it a keepsake, an antique ribbon, or a bride's culture and nationality!

Pretty In Pink

Wedding Date: November 8, 2008

Venue: The Wright House; Provencal

I love the Provencal! Of course I love the Wright House in general but this was a gorgeous wedding which used the venue to its full potential!

The bride used several shades of soft pink and the flowers ran the gammit from expensive to inexpensive. The result was full, soft, romantic touches throughout the venue. Since it was getting chilly out, some of the vegetation was loosing its luster. I popped some inexpensive pink carnations in the topiary trees flanking the buffet room. The result: blooming bushes on a budget. :)

Hot Pink and Green

Wedding Date: November 6, 2008

Location: Inspirador, Downtown Chandler

I had the pleasure of working with Inspirador at the beginning of November. What a cool venue! I loved the outdoor patio setting and the indoor ceremony space was right up my alley.

If you want a funky, different sort of venue for a smaller wedding. This is the place.

This was a very small order, bride's bouquet, groom's boutonniere, and parents' flowers. I love small, intimate weddings so I was happy to create this pink and green combination. The curly fiddlhead fern added a touch of chocolate.

Historic Wickenburg

Wickenburg is the "Dude Ranch Capital of the World." It's a scenic little town, perfect for out-of-town guests looking to experience the Wild West!

On October 25, I drove to Wickenburg early in the morning and delivered a gorgeous mix of rich, fall flowers. It was a gorgeous private residence rented for the ocassion and the bright rich colors really threw a spark against the desert backdrop.

The Day of the Gerbera Daisy!

I've had a crazy 2008 wedding season. Hence the lack of posts! I decided it was time to do some serious updating.

On October 11, I had the pleaure of working with daisy-crazy brides! Each had a different feel.

The first was a wedding at the Millenium resort. The fruity punchy color scheme was carried throughout the bouquets, centerpieces, cake, arch, you name it, I put gerberas on it! Each centerpiece was decorated with aluminum wire in one of three colors: red, magenta or orange to match the color scheme.
